Saskatoon Real Estate Market Is Still Alive And Well

Many people in Saskatoon think the real estate market is slower and prices are down. It’s true. Things have slowed down a bit compared to the market 3 years ago. According to the November Market Update from SRAR, the “average selling price continues to remain at just over $350,000.  The average selling price two years ago by comparison was $357,000, at a time when the market was more active.”

However,  that being said, there are still lots of buyers and lots of people wanting to sell. The key is making sure you are priced correctly.

And that’s not just my opinion. Pricing to sell not only ensures a quick sell but a closer match to your asking price.

“Homes are currently taking 50 days on average to sell in Saskatoon with sellers realizing 97% of the asking price. These statistics tell me that sellers who price to the market will realize a sale in much less time than the average of 50 days and close to their asking price.”

The key in today’s market is pricing your home correctly from the beginning.

Knowing the true value of your home can mean the difference between a stress free quick sell or a stagnant listing with little interest.
